Since the publication of THE FUTURE OF AN ILLUSION in 1927, it is hard to believe in the WE formulated in the Jamm'Art question ; in the meantime, we are stuck in a togetherness ; a possible synthesis could be inspired by some European artists :
From Zweig, Diderot, Gombrowicz, Wilde, Kundera, Sloterdijk, etc, we can remember :
- the need to escape the WE of a society in order to enjoy an internal space for art : "fragmentation" in other words is a basic need ;
- the massive impact on society that have an artistic creation is never predictable ;
- you certainly do not need a policy of culture to have an artistic activity but you need private money : to be bought your creation by a wealthy investor (Renaissance yesterday, Pinault today), to be published by wealthy editors, to have a public in concert, ..., and to have a second day-job to pay your bills.
